WELLINGTON, May 31. Old-time sailors' superstition, mat it was cad luck to put to sea with a parson on board, does not hold nowadays. The • kimutaka, which arrived at Wellington to-day '■ from England after an uneventful trip, inciuueo in her 296 passengers 11 clergymen. Five of them are Presbyterians, and they will be allotted to parishes by the New Zealand Presbytery. Five Anglican vicars also arrived to take up appointments in New Zealand. The eleventh minister was a Salvation Army ofticer. Among the service passengers were Captain A. C. A. Duckwortn, D. 5.0., R.N., who is taking over the position of naval ofticer in charge at Devonport naval base, and Wing Commander T. F. Gill, D. 5.0., R.N.Z.A.F., who is returning to a R.N.Z.A.F. appointment in the Dominion.
