Woman Cyclist Killed by Truck

CHRISTCHURCH, May 31. When she was knocked off her bicycle near the corner' of Ferry road and Tilford street at 7.45 p.m. on Saturday a woman suffered injuries from which she died in hospital last evening. She was Mrs Margaret Herne, married, aged 35, of Short street Linwood. The bicycle Mrs Herne was riding was struck by a motor-truck going along Ferry road, and she was thrown heavily to the road, suffering severe head and leg injuries. She was attended by a doctor and taken to the Christchurch Public Hospital by ambulance. Her condition deteriorated yesterday and she died at 5.15 p.m. AUCKLAND, May 31 A youth who collapsed in Queen Street, Auckland, on Saturday evening, died shortly after his admssion to the Auckland Hospital. He was Ronald Raymond Coulter, aged 18. a labourer of Huapai.
