BRITISH ENGINEERS CLAIM PAY RISE
LONDON, April 13. The first big wage claim since the trade unions accepted the Government’s wage-pegging policy will be presented to the engineering employers to-morrow on behalf of 2,750,000 workers. One hundred thousand ship-building employees will present a claim next week. Both claims ar A estimated to involve an increase in the wage bill of between £80,000,000 and £90,000,000 a year.
