WEDDING

DOYLE—MATHEWS A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised recently at St Patrick’s Church. Greymouth, of Patricia, second youngest daughter of Mrs L Mathews, of Alexander Street, Greymouth to John Francis Doyle, youngest son of the late Mr and Mrs J. H. Doyle, of Dunedin. The ceremony was performed by the Right Rev. Monsignor J. Long, who also celebrated Nuptial Mass. The bride entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr Jack Mathews. The bride wore a very becoming beige-coloured street-length frock of lombia crepe, also a felt hat in shade of Sahara tan embroidered in same tonings as that of the frock. She carried a bouquet to match. Mr Harry Doyle, of Dunedin, brother of the bridegroom, filled the role of best man. The altar was tastefully decorated with pink gladioli by the members or the Altar Society, of which Society the bride was a member.
