ATOM BOMB SECRET SECURED BY THE SOVIET

WASHINGTON, April 12

The Soviet now has the secret of the atom bomb, but still lacks the industrial capacity to manufacture it, the Secretary of Defence, Mr James Forrestal, told the House Armed Services Committee to-day. Mr Forrestal deplored the talk of a crisis and described the present world situation as a “state of continuing tension.” ___
