The funeral of Mrs Elizabeth Logie McFadzean ' left her late residence, Burnett’s Face, at 1 p.m. yesterday for Orowaiti Cemetery. There was a large attendance of friends and relatives, and also many floral tributes. The deceased leaves besides her husband, two daughters, four grand children, and one great grandchild. The pall-bearers were Messrs E. Marr, J. Heslop, J. Jones, B. Lightbovvn, P. Laing, and R. Laing. The Rev. Madill officiated at services at the house and the graveside. The death took place on Sunday at Granity of Mr Harry Shaw. He was born at Greenfield, Manchester, in 1882. Mr Shaw was a soldier in the Imperial Army before coming to New Zealand in 1915 to join the New Zealand forces. He had resided in Granity since 1922. He leaves a family of six daughters, five sons and ten grandchildren. Airways passengers were: Sarurday: From Hokitika: Mrs and Miss Watts; from Wellington: Miss A. Saunders, Messrs J. Trainor and W. Martin and infant.
