ITALIAN STRIKE CALLED BY LABOUR CONFEDERATION
(Rec. 10.50). LONDON, April 12. A Reuter correspondent at Rome states: A one-hour general strike was called by the Italian Labour Confederation. It began at 10 a.m. It was called as a protest against the killing recently of 36 Sicilian trade union officials. Two persons were killed and 22 were wounded when a bomb was thrown into a crowd who were listening to an extreme Left Popular Front speaker at Lizzanello near Lecce.
