WANGANUI CYCLIST KILLED IN COLLISION
P.A. WANGANUI, April 7. Arthur Kendrick, a widower, aged 76 years, a wood-cutter, of Anzae Parade, Wanganui East, lost his life in a collision this evening. He was killed almost instantly when th? cycle he was riding was involved in a collisiion with a motor-car at Wanganui East shortly before 7 p.m. Kendrick had turned on his cycle, or was about to turn from Duncan street into Anzac Parade, when the cycle and car collided. The accident occurred during a blackout period, due to power cuts, when all of the street lights were out. Steady rain was falling. The visibility was poor.
