Final first life: Mesdames Bellamy ano Coon beat Alderson and Patterson. Second life semi-final: Miss Batty and Mrs Fairhall beat Mesdames Alderson and Patterson; Mesdames Arthur and McLean beat Mesdames .McGirr and Stokes. Final second life: Mesdames Arthur and McLean beat Miss Batty and Mrs Fairhall. Championship pairs final: Mesdames Arthur and McLean beat Mesdames Bellamy and Coon. Championship singles semi finals. — First life Miss Batty beat Mrs Arthur; Mrs Alexander beat Mrs Fairhall. Final first life: Mrs Alexander beat Miss Batty. Cobden Club’s Season Closes The Cobden Bowling Club concluded the bowling season on Sunday, with a drawing competition in the morning and a progressive pairs in the afternoon. The following are the results: — Drawing competition: W. Mcßean 1; L. Cutler 2. Progressive Pairs First round: Stokes and Ware beat Bennett and Haglund; Mcßean and W. Arthur beat Gilmour and Weston Cochrane and White beat Thomson and Stillwell; Halliday and Cutler beat Bellamy and Jamieson. Second round: Mcßean and Jamieson beat Stokes and Stillwell; Bennett and White beat Halliday and, Weston; Thomson and Ware beat Bellamy and Arthur; Cochrane and Haglund beat Gilmour and Cutler. Third round: Mcß’ean and Ware beat Thomson and White; Halliday and Jamieson beat Cochrane, and Weston; Gilmour and Arthur beat Bennett and Cutler; Bellamy and Stillwell beat Stokes and Haglund. Fourth round: Thamson and Cutler beat Bennett and Stillwell; Cochrane and Ware beat Stokes and Arthur; Gilmour and Jamieson beat Bellamy and • White. The winning skip was W. Mcßean with four wins and the winning lead R. Ware, with four wins. Second places went to R. Cochrane (S) and R. Jamieson (L) with three wins each.
BOWLING MATCH
Tn a returned servicemen’s bowling match held at the Blaketown green during the week-end, D. Sullivan s rink was successful. The members of the winning team were Messrs D. Batty, F. Haglund, E. Flood and Sullivan.
