RECORD PRICE FOR YEARLING HEIFER
p.A. NAPIER, March 5. The record price of 450 guineas for a yearling heifer, exported overseas, was paid by Mr Lindsay Nicholas, of Melbourne, for a yearling Aberdeen Angus heifer purchased from Mr Jasper Herrick, “Tautane” stud farm, Waipukurau. The heifer was dispatched by rail to-day for Auckland, from where it will leave by the Komata for Australia this week.
