RIFLE SHOOTING WESTPORT HOLDS ELITE CUP

Scoring 764 points, the Westport club retained the Elite Cup in the annual triangular contest with Greymouth and Brunner, fired on the Taylorville range on Sunday. Westport had a 19 points margin over Greymouth, with Brunner 43 points away in third place. J. R. Keoghan (Westport) was top scorer, with a fine shoot of 103, which included a possible at 600 yds. R. Fowler (Greymouth) also shot Well, to register 100. The following were the scores (conditions 7 shots at 300, 500, and 600 yards, fired on the Bisley Target.

GOOD SHOOTING AT COBDEN In the first competition for President S. Davy’s trophy fired off on the Cobden range on Saturday, J, Scorgie shot well to tpp-score with a fine shoot of 105, and W. Jackson also shot well in registering 103. Possibles were scored by J. Scorgie and W. Duncan at 200 yards. The following were the leading score!
