State Radio Sells Time

Commercial sponsors can now buy time on the French national radio network.

Sponsors will have no say’ in the type of show to be presented. Advertising is likely to be limited to a simple anouncement at the beginning and end of each sponsored session.

One of the main reasons for the Government’s decision to permit the sponsored sessions is the deficit under State control of broadcasting of £675,000 last year.
