TANGANYIKA’S POSITION. [Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] DAR ES SALAAM, September 16. Local opinion is unperturbed regarding the possibility of the return of Tanganyika to Germany. Everyone is confident that a change of ownership is unlikely. Mr Te Water’s statement is not taken seriously, especially in view of the encouraging statements from responsible quarters in England, that it will remain British.
