PLUMBERS’ CONFERENCE. AUCKLAND, Feb. 21. The conference of master plumbeis elected the following officers: —President: G. W. Key (Wellington), VicePresident: W. A. Jenkins (Dunedin); Secretary and Treasurer: A. J. Petherick (Wellington); Executive Committee. Jansen, Judd, King, King, Mclvor (Wellington); Representative on Employers ’ Federation: Ballinger (Wellington); Representative on Plumbers’ Board: Douglas (Dunedin). EX-SOLDIERS’ PENSION. OTAKI, Feb. 2.1. At a meeting of the Otaki Patriotic Association, it was resolved, that Mi< Association views with strong disfavour the capitalising of pensions! and thinks it should be done only in exceptional cases, when the local Association has had an opportunity of co-operating with the Pensions Department.
