MRS BLACKMORE.
As briefly reported in our issue of yesterday the" lamented death of Mrs Blackmore occurred just before midnight on Tuesday, after a comparatively short illness, the deceased itdv having been confined to her tied only for a couple of days. ' ' The late Mrs Blackrhore with her husband (who died some twenty years ago) were early pioneers cf Greymouth and bravely faced the 'many troubles and difficulties which beset the sturdy founders of the West Coast. Always of a lovable and kindly disposition, Mrs Blackroore won the esteem of all sections of the. community and many were her kindly acts of charity and help to those less fortunr ately circumstanced. The deceased leaves four sons. or?e the manager of the National Bank in Palmerston North, one in business as an ironmonger in Reefton. one engaged in the Railway in Christchurch and. one Frank, in {business (in Oreymoutn. Also four daughters. Mrs Tomkie? of Westoort, Miss Dora. : in business in Feildingr on her own account and two at, home. The interment will be a private one
