BOROUGH OF BRUNNER.

The news of the death of Mr Evan Evans which took- place on- Tuesday evening will- be received • throughout the West Coast with feeling- of • sincere regret. The late Mr Evans was one of \Nature's gentlemen, and was respected and esteemed by all sections of the community. He lived to attain the ripe old age of '■ 91, years Mr Evans was a Welsh miner and arrived on the Coast -in- the very early days. For years he worked m the. local Gas Works ,and was'' in harness until a few years ago. The late Mr Evans was a very powerful man, and besides ■ having great strength he had a kind and charitable heart;, .In his early days he drove a coach from Wales to London before rails were laid down. Deceased leaves one son Mr John Evans; .and* ;ttv?o daughters Mrs J. Steer and Mrs W. Walton. • The sympathy of the entire community wilt be extended ate-, the. bereaved in their sad -loss..
