WELLINGTON, April 12.

The examination was resumed today of W. J. McMurray, the Gisborne Bankrupt, who was brought back from Hamilton and is still under arrest.

it appeared that the bankrupt had put in his debts as £249, whereas proofs have 'been submitted for £489. Bankrupt said he had had no experience in business and did not think it necessary to keep books.

He was closely examined as to his dealings in other places, and the meeting adjourned till April 24th, bankrupt still being detained in custody. '
