THE COAL SUPPLY.

[to the editor.] Sir— Please give me a corner to express my thanks to the managers of the Grey coal miues for the grand appliances they have for giving a vessel quick dispatch. The Gas Company, in Wellington, are advertising for vessels to come here for coals — they would rather have them than Newcastle. I shall most decidedly advise masters .of vessels to take a charter, for it is a pleasure to lay three weeks alongside the Grey wharf that very few of the Wellington shipmasters know anything about. " I am, &c, G. W. Calvert, Master, Elizabeth Curie.
