They say no arrangements whatever are made with Yogel. They will not exclude any papers ; and all journals must be placed on a fair footing. No coutracf is yet made with anybody. D, ONEDiN, June 18. Tho police intend to sue thj Prqvincial Government for one month's salary for every year's service. The severe frost continues. At Waipori, the river is frozen for miles, and horses even are able to stand on the ice. Skating is practised near Dunedin. Napier, June 18. A large meeting was held last niglit, and between 500 and 600 attended to consider the repudiation of a movement amongst the Maoris concerning land transactions. Resolutions were passed proposing the appointment of a commission to investigate questionable land sales and mortgages, to allay the excitement amongst the natives.
