ARRIVAL OF THE ALHAMBRA. [per greville's telegraph company, reuter's agents.] Hokitika, April 17. The s.s. Alhambra arrived at 8 a.m. Passenger List — Messrs Cassius, Davidson, Harrison, James Smith, Miss Martin, Mrs Petterson, Mrs Clogstorm, and three children. The Alhambra left Melbourne on the Melbourne, April 11. Robert Eyton, charged" with "passing valueless cheques on an Auckland Bank, has been further remanded. There has been a Ministerial fete at Clunea on the occasion of laying the foun-dation-stone of the Town Hall. The Ministry have since visited Gipps Land, and promised the extension of railways in that direction. The Hon. Mr Wrixon fell from his horse, and suffered from concussion of the brain, but is progressing favorably.
