Wellington, Nov. 9. To-day was observed as a general holiday. The Volunteers fired for 21 prizes presented by the citizens. Chbistchubch, Nov. 9. The cattle show, in point of numbers and quality of exhibits, was the greatest success ever achieved here. Seven thousand persons visited the grounds. Auckland, Nov. 8. The Caledonian claim expect to have 8000 ounces this month. Two hundredweight of specimens taken out yesterday, and one ton of specimens taken out last week. From All Nations, 1000 ounces is expected. Caledonians are selling at Ll2O ; Thames, L 23 ; All Nations, L 5 5s ; Nonpariel, 955.
