GENERAL SUMMARY.
London, September 11. The Queen and the younger members of the Royal Family returned to Windsor today,, after their Swiss tour. The Queen's health is much improved since her residence at Lucerne. Excursions were made in the neighborhood by Her Majesty, accompanied by the Princesses Louise and Beatrice, and Prince Arthur, who ascended the Righi. The Duke of Edinburgh was present at the marriage of Commander Campbell to Miss Archer. The Prince officiated as best man. September 20, 12 37 p.m. Sir John Young succeeds Lord Monck as Governor-General of the dominion of Canada. The wool sales closed firmer. 40,000 bales were held over. Arrived : Wave of Life, Lincolnshire, Minnie, and Flying Scud.
