NEW ZEALAND RIFLE ASSOCIATION.

[press association telegram.] DUNEDIN, November 13. The " Star" to-night says, regarding next year's Eifle Association meeting : " Before the representatives dispersed there was some discussion as to the locale of the next year's meeting. Wellington, Wanganui, and Napier were all mentioned as suitable places, but the majority seemed to think that Auckland was the place most entitled to be selected. There can be no doubt that the northern part of the colony has always sent its fair complement of men to the association's meetings, and were Auckland or the Thames to be the chosen spot for the next year's campaign, a large number of representatives from all parts would make a point of attending. Canterbury can have little claim on the association, seeing the small number of men sent from that provincial district."
