FOOTBALL.
BAST CHRISTCHUROH CLUB. Appended is a list of matches played by the above olub, which shows what rapid strides the olub made during the past season. The members were very energetic having visited all the country clubs. Altogether thirteen matohes were played, ten by the first fifteen, and three by the second. The former won seven and lost three; the latter won two and lost one. The three lost by the first fifteen were played early at the commencement of the season before the team had settled down to work, as the return matches on each occasion were won by the B.C.F.C.
Fibbt Fifteen. April 29—V Ravens F.C., lost by one try to nil
May 20—V ChristchurchF.O. (secondfifteen), lost by one goal and throe tries to nil June 3—V Christ's College F.C., lost by oae goal and one try to one try Jnne 10-V North Canterbury F.C., won by three tries to nil June 29 —V Ashbnrton F.C., won by one try to nil
July 8-V Southbridge F.C., won by two tries :o nil
July 15-T Chrietshurch F.C., (second fifteen), return, won by five tries to nil July 29—V Christ's College F.C., return, won by three tries to nil August 12— V Sydenham F.C., won by one goal and three trios to nil August 26—V Ravens F.C V return, won by three goals and three tries to nil. Second Fifteen.
July B—V Merivale F.C., lost by one goal and four tries to nil
July 29 - V High Schor>l, won by one goal and two tries to one try August 19—Y Merivale F.C., return, won by one goal and one try to one try.
