They then proceeded to the Barrier, took in provisions, and arrived here after a passage of thirty-six hours. The vessel belonged to Mr S'. Jenkins’, of Lyttelton, and £4CO was recently spent in repairs. It has been ascertained that the Elizabeth Curie was insured as follows: South British £230. New Zealand £275, National £250, and Union £IOO, irrespective of £76 on freight. DUNEDIN, August 4. What appears to be a portion of a recent wreck just pioked up on the beaoh At Bluff comprises the lowpt topsail yard of a large ship, and the face of a figure head The faoe ia that of a woman, with flowing ba ; r, above the forehead being a large atar, gi'ded where the face is broken. The wood seemed aa fresh as though not separated fram the other part of the figure more than three or four months. It is asserted the wreckage does not belong to any vessel that has been ashore at or near the Bluff, and it is possibly portions of some missing vessels, suoh as the Minydon, Loch Maree, or others.
