[eeutee’s telegram.] MELBOURNE, June 29. Application was made to the Supreme Court to-day in the appeal case Union Steamship Company of New Zealand v the Melbourne Harbor Trust, for .damages sustained by the steamer Rotorua in October last, to enter a verdict for the plaintiffs. Argument was heard upon the rule nisi granted by the Full Court, aud judgment was reserved. The Victorian railway employes are applying for a general increase of wages in consequence of the present dearness of food.
