[reUTBB’S TELEGRAMS.] LONDON, Juno 28. Consols have farther declined to 99 New Zealand securities remain at yesterday’s quotations. The market rate of discount has advanced per cent., and is now 2|d. The Bank rate is 3 per cent. Adelaide and New Zealand wheats, ex store, are unchanged at 51s and 49s respectively. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, is 355. Australian tallow —Best beef, 42s 6d ; best mutton, 44s 6d. The bidding at to-day’s wool sale was quiet. There were G7OO bales offered. The following ships arrived from Lyttelton ; —Birth of Lome (March 2nd), B. Webster (March 13th), Sydenham (March 16th), Marlborough (March 18tb), Weathersfield (March 18th), Grecian (March 23rd), Glenburn (March 29th). From the Bluff—Tongoy (March 18th). From Auckland —Antares (March 19 th). From Port Chalmers —Nelson (March 29 th). At Havre—Santiago, from Lyttelton (March 22nd). The cricket match, Australians v the United South of England team, was resumed to-day at Chichester. A large number of people were again present, and the weather was very hot. The United South, with three wickets down for 67 runs, continued their first innings, and succeeded in putting together 166. Mr Morris Bead (Surrey) was the highest scorer with 90; Mr W. R. Gilbert (Gloucestershire) scored 38, being 334 behind their opponents. The United South followed followed on, but only scored 72 in their second innings, and the Australians thus won the match in one innings, with 263 runs to spare.
