The Handicap Tourney promisee to be a success, no less than sixteen gentlemen having entered the lists. Mr P. Jaeobaen has been appointed handioapper, Mr Hookham having retired, as he is a competitor. The classification is as follow* s—-
First class, Mr Hookham. . Second class, Messrs Moore and Olhvier. Third class, Messrs Horwood, Loughnan, senr., MoGuinness, Pees, Tuncred, and Fourth class, Messrs May, Smith, Scott, and Ouddon, junr. Fifth class, Messrs Bowe, bloane, and Winter, The following are the conditions : First class to give second class n pawn and two moves ; to give third class a knight ; to give fourth olass a rook ; to give fifth class a bishop and a knight. Second class to give third class a pawn and move ; to give fourth olass a knight; to give fifth class a rook. Third class to give fourth class a pawn and move ; to give fifth class a knight. Fourth class to give fifth class a pawn and move, „ . The tourney will commence at the Glub rooms, Scotch Stores, at 730 to-morrow (Saturday) evening; the prizes being 4*B, 2gs, and 1 guinea respectively. Messrs Scott, Keane, May,_ and G. Coleman have been recently admitted to membership. _________
