NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING COMPANY.

To-day, at noon, an extraordinary general meeting of the New Zealand Shipping Company (Limited) was held at the olhees. Hereford street, in order, in pursuance o the terms of the Joint Stock Companies Act, to submit for confirmation as a snecial resolution the subjoined resolution, passed at a similar meeting on the 23rd May : “The capital of the company shall be increased to £1,000,000 by the issue of 75,000 new shares of £lO each, and such new snares shall be considered as part of the original capital and ehall be subject to the same provisions in all respects with reference to the payment of calls, the forfeiture of shares or non-payment of calls, and in all other respeete as il they had formed part of the original issue; and such new shares may, notwithstanding the provisions contained in article 13 hereof, be allotted and issued by the Board of Directors at such times and on snob terms and u° n “ l ‘ tions as the Board shall think fit, and the provisions of article 0 hereof may be applied by the Board upon the allotment and issue of such new shares." , , Mr J L. Coster, Chairman of the Directorate, presided. The Hon. E. Biohardson and Messrs John Anderson and A. O. Wilson, directors, and a number of shareholders, were present. Mr Geo.
