[REUTER'S telegrams.] SYDNEY, May 19. Sailed Yesterday afternoon, the steamship City of Now York, for Auckland. An extension of the tramway line from the present terminus in Elizabeth street to Circular Quay has now commenced. ADELAIDE, May 19. The police having impounded the sum of £7OO found upon the Auckland defaulter Harges, the question has arisen whether the same should be available for Adelaide or Naw Zealand creditors, and the amount consequently has been handed over to the official receiver.
