THE EXHIBITION.
Tho arrangement of bringing the eases out into tho avenue of tho Exhibition adds very greatly to tho appearance of it, and was certainly a happy thought. Tho attendance yesterday was fairly up to the average. The Austrian Band, in the afternoon, played some very excellent string selections, which wore nicely rendered. The musical arrangements for to-day aro of a particularly attractive nature. Between 2 and S p.m. the juvenile band of tho Industrial School, under the leadership of their musical instructor, Mr O. Bowles, will perform the following programme : —“ Grand slow march, “Albion” (H. Hound) ; valso, “Daybreak” (H. Bound) ; polka, *' Merry Christmas Chimes” (Wright) ; quick march, “Evangeline ” (Liuter) ; valse, “ Christmas Gathering” (Hound); ond gallop. “The Scout” (Linton). From three to five o'clock the Austrian Bend will play their usual selections, and in tho evening the first of tho vocal contests will take place. A new sounding board has been arranged for in the concert hall, which will be tried to-night for the first time.
