[retjteb's telegrams.] MELBOURNE, January 25. Smallpox. The P. and O. Co.'s steamship Mirzapore arrived here this morning, and has been quarantined on account o£ two cases of smallpox which occurred on board during her voyage. Afloat Again. Further information has been received from Waratah Bay with regard to the ship which was reported to be ashore there. It is now known that the vessel, which has since been floated off, is the barque Almendral, 678 tons, bound from Melbourne to Sydney. Obsequies. The funeral of the late Colonel Anderson took place to-day. A large body of volunteers was present, and the ceremony was performed with full military honors. Grain. "Wheat is quoted to-day at 4s lid per bushel, and barley at 4s 4d. SYDNEY, January 25. The WotongaThe Marine Board has decided to suspend the certificate of the mate of the steamship Wotonga for three months. Bank Dividend. The Australian Joint Stock Bank pays a dividend of 10 per cent, for the past half-year, and carries £SOOO to the reserve.
