Bail was fixed, himself in £IOOO, and two sureties in £SOO each. The surroundings are exceedingly suspicious. In a private, unoccupied house belonging to Waldmann a quantity _of inflammable material was found, and his wife came to Dunedin last week, bringing a quantity of household goods with her.
