At the usual sitting of the Waste Lands Board held at Christchurch on Thursday, November 3rd, sales were made as follows :—Ordinary—Ashley, te; Salwyn, 72a 3r 16p; Waimate, 500 a. Deferred payments: Village settlements —la 2r. Total acreage sold, 578 alr 16p. Total cash received, £1166 14s. Refunds on account of former purchases were made in the amount of £1053 13s 9a. At- an auction sale held at Eakaia on November 3rd, t#wn sections were sold :—6a lr6p., producing 1 £791 BBed.
