Mr Julian Salmon, Q.C., the Royal Commissioner, appointed to enquire into the Millburn Creek copper mine affair, has issued his report. It find that Messrs Garnet [sic), Waddol, and Russell were guilty of bribery and corruption, and further that a sum of £4500 was appropriated by Mr Baker, formerly Minister of Mines, and Messrs Waddel and Matchison. Mr Garrett has demanded, and Sir H. Parkes, Premier, has promised to institute further enquiries. The report of tho Commissioner has created a great sensation here.
