MELBOURNE, November 1 The Absconding Clerks-

The two clerks, in tho employ of Messrs Kronheimer and Co., who absconded last month, having embezzled £BOOO, wore captured yesterday by the police, and are now in custody. Afloat Again.

Telegrams are to hand reporting that the barque Ehronsvard, which went ashore recently at Pasaoerocan, Java, while on the voyage from Melbourne to Batavia, has been safely floated.

SYDNEY, November 1, Bank Dividend.

The half-yearly meeting of shareholders of the Bank of New South Wales was held here to-day. The report of the directors showed that the profits amounted to £89,251. Out of this sum it was recommed that a dividend of 15 per cent, should ho declared, with a bonus of 2£ per cent., leaving £4840 to bo carried to the reserve fund.
