A matoh was played on Saturday, October 15th, on the Addington Cricket Ground, between the Lincoln rood O. O. and the Addington Youths 0.0., and resulted in a victory for the Youths by one innings and six runs.

A matoh between elevens of the Woodend and Rangiora Clubs was played on the ground of the latter on Saturday. The game was decided upon the first innings, time being called before the second was completed. The Woodend team scored 28, of whioh Smith put up 15 in grand style, and carried his bat out. The Rangiora players scored 44. In the second innings, partly played, the Woodend men had scored 49 for the loss of seven wiokete. The return matoh between the Mount Somers and Ashburton Clubs was played at Mount Somere on October 12th, and resulted in a victory for the former. The scores were—Ashburton, 118; Mount Somers, 118, with three wiokets to fall.

The opening matoh of the Boggy Creek Club was played on Thursday last, Married v Single, and resulted in a win to the former by 14 runs.
