[eeutee’b telegbams.] SYDNEY, October 12. SmallpoxSeveral of the small-pox patients at the quarantine station are reported to bo seriously ill.
MELBOURNE, October 12. The S-S- Brisbane on a ReefTelegrams are to band from Port Darwin announcing that tho Eastern and Australian Mail Steamship Company’s steamer Brisbane, bound from Hong Kong to Brisbane, has struck on a reof in Clarence Strait, about thirty miles from Port Darwin. Assistance has been eont from the latter place, and as the weather is fine, it is hoped tho steamer may he got off without injury.
