TRAINING NOTES.

By SinbapOn Thursday morning, Lyford was tt.e first out, and sent Winfield a good strong gallop onco round tbe plough. Hilarioua went about two miles at half paoe. Sir Modred cantered once round, looking as well as his most sanguine backers could wish. Somnus, Sir Gornet, and Hilda, were restrioted to slow work. The last-named improves daily, and if she can last out the distance will make it warmer for the other contestants than many at present suppose. The Agent went two circuits at a slow paoe. The Envy filly was sent once round, the last half-mile at a strong pace. It seems a pity that this filly is not in tho Champagne. Coldstream did a slow mile and a-half. He improves daily, and will be hard to beat at Kowai and Ellesmero. Amulet, looking well, did a slow circuit. I think he will be not far away at tho finish of the Champagne. Lady Emma did a mile and a-half at a slow pace, when she was picked up by Legerdemain, the two going another mile at a clinking pace, Lady Emma holding her stable companion safe at any part of it Olarenoe went a steady gallop twice round the plough. This horse will be dangerous in the coming winter cross-country events. La Mode and Nonpareil bad a sharp spin for half a mile, the filly having the best of it. The Governor and Joker were then treated to a strong serviceable gallop, the latter apparently having' always the best of his companion. At Yaldhurst, Mason sent Bandwiok and Morpheus a good gallop of two and a-half miles. They were joined by the two-year-old colt by Yattendon, out of Peeress, for tbe last half mile, the trio finishing fast.
