The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Monday. April 4th, were as follows : Spirits, £256 16s sd; tobacco, -£145 Is 6d; ynne, £32 10s 6d; cigars, £2B 19a; snuff, £3O; sugar. .£6l 0a lOd; goods by weight, .£94 2s lid; ad valorem, .£328 ss; other duties, £l3 12s. Total, £990 8s 4d.
At the usual sitting of the Waste Lands Board held at Christchurch on Monday April 4th, sales wore made as follows:—Ordinary— Selwyn, lr 2p; Akaroa, 2235 a; Geraldine, 5a 3r. Total acreage sold, 2241 a or2p. Total value, £4482 0s 6d. Under the Forest and Trees Planting Encouragement Act, grants were made—Akaroa, 194 a ; Geraldine, 26a.
Mu Charles Clark reports the sale yesterday, by private treaty of 35| acres close to Belfast Railway Station at £35 per acre. Total, £1092 4a 6d. Also, one acre at Epsom, adjoining the racecourse, for £BS cash. He anticipates a large attendance at his auction sale to-morrow (Thursday), when ho is to offer the Bryndvrr suburb and some town propertiee.
