GRAND ORANGE LODGE.
The annual meeting of the above was held yesterday (December the 29th) in the Orange Hall. The B.W. District G.M. Bro. Bevell occupied the chair, and there were a large number of delegatee present from all parts. After disposing of a great deal pf business, the following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—R.W.G.M-, Bro. D. H. Christie (Christchurch) ; E.W.D.M., Bro. J. W. McNeale (Dunedin) ; G. Chaplains, Bro. Rev. Dumbell, Bro. Rev. J. W. Oree, Bros. Cooper, Ballantyne, Beck, and Gebbie; G.S., Bro. T. J. Beresford j G.T., Bro. W. Prudhoe; Grand Committee, Bros. Stapleton, Shepherd, O, W. Fleming, Palmer, and Webster j Auditors, Bros. W. Charters and Tribe; Grand Lecturer, Bro. Mills. The Grand Secretary reported that the receipts from the Orange Hall showed a balance over expenditure, leaving a favorable balance to credit. The hall committee appointed for the ensuing year were Bros. T. J. Beresford, Stapleton, Prudhoe, McKnight, and T. Anderson. Other private matteis having been disposed of, the B.W.G.M. installed the lodge officers for the ensuing year. The lodge was duly closed, to meet again in Timaru in May next.
