Tho principal winning sire has, as usual, been Traducor, twenty of whoso stock won, ns will be seen in the preceding table, £8390. With his numerous other winners that are scattered over tho country, but whose breeding is not given in tho reports of the races, there is no doubt that his stock have this season again won over £IO,OOO. Next to him comes the North Island sire Day Dawn, who has £IGS9 to hia credit by five winners ; but this horse’s stock is very numerous in the Wellington district, and they probably won altogether £3OOO. Dead Shot is represented by Mata and Pinfire, who between them won £1307.
