CANTERBURY COLLEGE

The ordinary meeting of the Board of Governors of the Canterbury College took place yesterday afternoon. Present —The Most Rov. the Primate, Messrs F. de c. Malet, W. J. W. Hamilton, H. P. J. N. Tosswill, R. W. Fereday, Dr. Coward. Mr Malet web appointed chairman, and stated that owing to the recent special meeting of the Board there wbb very little business to be transacted, the only matter comi g before them beiag the report of the agricultural school committee, who recommended the B.iaid to authorise the expenditure of £9O for fetxiog in the drying ground, kitchen court, and erocHng sates. It was resolved on the motion of Me Hamilton, ■econded by Dr. Coward, to sanction the expenditure. On tho motion of Mr Tosswill, it was resolv. d that Mr Malet be requested to act aa chairman of the various committees during the absence of tho chairman. The Board then adj mrred.
