SOUTHBRIDGE v. EASTERN FOOTBALL CLUB.

The abovo match -was played on the Southbridge ground on Saturday afternoon, and resulted in a victory for the home team by two touch downs to nil. It is only fair to stale that tho Chtiatchurch players were unable to get a full team togethor, and consequently had to play three men short. The weight of the Southbridge men told very much against them in the scrimmages. However they played a plucky uphill g«no from start to finish, and it was the opinion of one and all that they had thsir full complement, that the Southbridge men would have had a tough game of it. The weather was all that could be desired, and the ground in first-rate order.
