MELBOURNE EXHIBITION COMMISSION.

Two liters were road from Mr N.K. Chen-ill— (I.) Asking for informations as to what, award (if any) had been mado to hiß exhibits »s Sydney, and when he might expert the oxHbits back in Ohristchurch. (2) Saying fche regulations of the Melbourne Eihihuion ia not recognising photographs as works of art made him uncertain whether his exhibits w~re admissible. Ford and Ogdon—Three specimens of fireclay, three specimens of g blister, three specimens of red clay, three spe' imeus of ironstone, fire bricks of fire-clay, fire bricks of ganister, red ornamental brick*, Uass wind, &c. • Boyse, Stead and Co.—Oatmeal, cheese, oats, wheat, barley, ai.d colonial ijialt. Lightband, Allan and Co. —Boots and shoes. M. Sandstein— Silver epergno. Matheson Bros, and Co. Engravings on Class.

McConnell Bros.—Hama, bacon, and cheese. John Gilmour—Hams and bacon. It was mentioned that no exhibits of agricultural implements had been received, and regret was expressed that farmers had not come to the fore as grain exhibitors. It was agreed to advertise when the committee would receive the exhibits, it being proposed to send them all in one consignment.
