Sir.—ln reply to a latter iu your List J night's issue Bigce-1 " Ve'try " permit me to state that " Protestant" in hia letter h« omitted to mention that the present crucirix in question inte ;ded for the German ' 'h<rca, is to replace the one mysteri ndy introduced about twelve moathß ago, and which again as mysteriously disappeared a short time since. No doubt the present vestry and congregation have sanctioned tho procuring of the crucifix, of cvrse »* the emmand of the minister, Mr But, who are they ? The vestry consists °f persons nominated by the minister, contrary to tho rules of olec ■ tion as lad down in our Church Constitution, aad consequently hold their office illegally. The remaining part of the congregation consist if Ge'mans and Danes, who are favorable to '-ho minister's views, while those opposed to him are persistently persecuted, to make them withdraw, in order to get a clear field.
