CUBE BOATINNG CLUB.

A meeting of this club was hold at the Kaiopoi Hotel on Monday evening, the president, Mr Q-. H. Wearing, in the chair. The receipt of cheques from the X/yttelton regatta committee, £32 10s; Heathcote, £44; and Kaiapoi, £33, were announced. In the former regatta the club’s crews won the Champion Four-oared race. Senior Pair and sculling races ; at Heathcote the Champion Four, Senior Pair, Junior Pair and Senior Double-sculling events; at Kaiapoi, the Champion Four, Senior Pair, Junior Pair and Junior Doublesculling races. In addition to £129 in prize money, the club is the ultimate holder of Mr Watson’s cups, won at the Heathcote, and the interim holders of two other cups connected with that regatta. It was resolved—“ That a sum of about £3O be expended, in accordance with rule 25, by the captain in the purchase of trophies for the winning crews.” Votes of thanks were passed to the crews, and to Mr J. Anderson, Christchurch, for the use of a building as a boat shed. It was decided that a special meeting be held to consider the advisability of adding to the club’s property by the purchase of some new boat*. The meeting then adjourned, after a vote of thanks to the president for the enthusiastic interest taken by him in the management of the club.
