THEATRE ROYAL.
A dramatis adaptation of Miss Braddon's novel, " Aurora Floyd," was produced last night successfully at the Theatre Royal. There was a very good house. Mr Boothman was very successful in depicting the genial, hearty John Mellish, and Mr Howe served as a good foil to him in the vindictive, crafty Softy. Mat. Harrison, the dog fancier, was congen-'ally represented by Mr Rede, and Mr Hjdes was exceedingly funny as the flunkey William Wilson. Miss Morgan played with great power as the heroine who ■gives her name to tha play, and Miss Ashton was thoroughly at home as Mrs Powell. The performance concluded with the laughable sketch, " Nothing to Wear," Mia* Colville and Mr Hoskins sustaining their original characters of Dickey Sharp and Betsey Smart with their accustomed vivacity, and to the thorough erJDyment of the audience. The same pieces will be repeated this evening, and to-morrow night " After Dark" will be played for the last time.
