Having lost the fans of her propeller, her mails were brought on by the steamship Assam, which left Galle on March 23rd. MELBOURNE, April 20. The SpeakershipMuch speculation continues regarding the appointment to the Speakership of the Legislative Assembly. Nothing certain is yet known on tho subject. Bad News. Diptheria continues in a severe form at Hamilton, and the same disease is spreading in the township of Avenol.
