CANTERBURY SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION.

The usual monthly committee meeting was held on Monday evening last, in the Young Men's Christian Association rooms. The president in the chair. Delegates from Durham street, Crescent road, Manchester street, Phillipstown, Ashbourne, Bingsland, St. Asaph street, Cambridge Terrace, Oxford Terrace, Lincoln road, and St. Andrew's schools, were present. Tho sub-committee re trade department reported and recommended the removal of the depot, the magazines to be delivered from the new depot, sad the appointment of a general secretary, which was adopted after a lengthy discussion. The subcommittee was re-appointed to carry out the proposed alterations in the best possible manner. The report and balance-sheet were read and ordered to be presented at the annual meeting. The gentlemen nominated for the office of president having declined, nominations were re-opened, asd other gentlemen nominated. Mr Ballantyne wrote kindly offering his services during his approaching visit to England, and Mir Helliwell volunteered his services in connection with the dissolving views. The visitors' report was read and referred back, being considered incomplete. The amendment to rule 4 was proposed and carried unanimously, and the secretary instructed to notify the schools of the same, and also to request the Rev. J. Berry and Mr J. Ballantyne to represent this Union at the Centenary Convention of Sun • day School Unions to be held in London in Juno next.
